What is mediation?

Mediation is an effective way of resolving disputes without the need to go to court.  It involves an independent third party - a mediator - who helps both sides come to an agreement (Civil Mediation Council).

Gina Churchill

Gina does not have a legal background so she is able to work directly with clients in order to reach agreements without anyone getting lost in legal jargon.

However, Gina has over 14 years experience in the construction and outsourcing industry.  She is straight talking and imaginative and so is able to bridge the gap of all types of civil and commercial disputes, in particular outsourcing and PFI disputes.

Well-known for keeping calm in a crisis, Gina uses skills she has gained over her career in negotiating multi-million pound deals, as well as being trained to deliver training and mentoring in order to influence her mediation style.

Reaching agreement is always easier when all parties are relaxed which leads to them being much more communicative and willing to share what their barriers are, as well as what they need for resolution to take place.

Whilst not every mediation can be settled on the day, Gina will continue working with parties in the days following the mediation if there is some chance of resolution being achieved.

What previous clients say about Gina

“Thank you for a safe space to share, be supported and strategise a new way forward”

“Thank you for listening, for providing a platform for all this stuff to be processed”

Why choose Gina as your mediator

Extensive commercial experience - Gina has brokered many multi-million pond deals and has used mediation as a client to find resolution.

Gina remains calm- this relaxes parties and really listens to them to understand what is driving the dispute in order to find inventive solutions that parties may not previously have considered.

Gina does not have a legal background - she uses this to her advantage and will talk to clients in their own language and allow their solicitors to advise them in the law

Available to work anywhere - Gina is based on the border of West Midlands and Worcestershire but will travel anywhere in the UK or further afield to mediate.  She will also consider Skype mediations where geography is prohibitive.

Gina is a CMC registered independent mediator.
