So first real blog and I am already passing the reigns over to my first guest blogger! My little one, Jessie Churchill wants to introduce herself. Enjoy!

"Hi, I’m Jessica (Jess or Jessie for short). I’m three of your years old which makes me about 21 in doggy years...but us Churchills don’t really believe in growing up or old so don’t be fooled - I am the baby of this family and I completely love and live up to the role!

So my Mum gave me the title of ‘There is no such thing as a co-incidence’...... I don’t really know about that so I thought I would tell you a little bit about my story... (My Mum also says you should tell your story freely, even if you think it is just your story, you will always be an inspiration to some-one).

I came to live with the Churchills when I was 7 month old. My Now Mum and Dad had experienced a very sad thing just one day before I met them, but I don’t know much about that because I wasn’t here then..... As it happens I was feeling pretty sad myself...my original family had split up. Mum (the first one) and my human sister lived in one house and I was living in a flat with my then Dad...and he couldn’t look after me anymore because of work.

I didn’t know it at the time but he had to find a new family for me within 2 days or I would be’ in the clink’.

So my now Mum got to find out about this (she wasn’t looking for another dog incidentally) and as it was one week before my first Christmas, she brought Darby (my now Doggy Sister) to meet me to see if we got on.

The flat she had to find to meet me was on a street called Church Hill.... and now I’m a Churchill! Who would have thought it?!

Oh and I forgot to mention I am a Labrador.... the only breed my Momma has ever entertained (that was lucky!)

So long story short, I went home with the Churchills. Mum sent a photo of me to my Grandma and you won’t believe.... Grandma told a story that when she was a little girl, she had been in charge of naming a little black puppy... and she had only called her Jessica (Christine) the same as my name!!

So when my Mum and Dad officially adopted me I was already a Jessica, we just added the Christine in because we all felt like we should.

So I’m sorry I couldn’t talk to you about co-incidences but now I have introduced myself you know how I fit into the family.

Hopefully I will be allowed on the dogblog again soon.

Lots of waggy bums to you all xxxx

NOTE FROM EDITOR: We can ask the Universe for what we want and sometimes she gives us that and sometimes she has a bigger plan. Both Jessie and I were in great need at the time we were brought together and our paths were forced to cross.

In default position, especially in times of sadness, I believe we get delivered exactly what we need....we just have to recognise it....and then it’s what we do with it that counts.

Do get in touch if you have comments or if you or your pooch would like to guest blog.

In the meantime....be your brightest star xxxxxxxx
