We are Her Invitation and this is the kind of things we talk about (often with women in male dominated industries, which let’s face it, is most of them!):
• Little Girl Syndrome - being talked over and silenced
• Impostor Syndrome - the constant nagging doubt that you are not good enough and will get found out
• Tiara Syndrome - working all hours, being extra vigilent and just waiting for someone to notice
• Negotiation - as women, we often think we are poor at this, yet we do it every day at home!
• Messages we send about leadership - in particular tidying up meeting rooms and communal spaces and taking notes in meetings...
We give women the tools and techniques to overcome some of these behaviours as well as exploring some of the messages the media are feeding to both women and men, and how damaging they are to true equality.The women who have already been through the workshops have really enjoyed what we are doing, some of the outcomes have been:
• promotions
• pay rises
• taking on new projects
• starting their own business
• changing how they work with men and women for the better
• increased confidence
• better relations at home
The messages we spread and the behaviours we adopt have made all the difference to our own success - and we want to share that with you.
