Cinderella: “Oh, I understand, but... it's more than I ever hoped for”

Do you ever feel like Cinderella only without the Fairy Godmother? Life just seems so damn difficult and you know what you want your life to look like, you just can’t quite bring it into realisation??

If only you had that special woman in your life who could show you how wonderful things could actually be for you.....if you could actually go the proverbial ball, in the proverbial dress and shoes (for ball, dress and shoes replace with whatever it is your heart is desiring).

So that got me thinking, what if we all have that Fairy Godmother....and she is actually nothing more amazing than another, older version of you, trying to guide you through the smoothest route of life?

So, if your fairy godmother is an older version of you, then what you are doing now will inform that woman in years to come....it’s deep but simple... all I am suggesting is that I believe we have all the an swers within us to make our dreams come true....we just need to look inside.

So if your fairy godmother (or the ‘you of the future’) could tell you what you needed to hear right now, what would she be whispering????

Here is mine.....

1. Delegate some of the responsibility....yes you are wonder woman, but you don’t have to be all of the time... there are two adults in your marriage... share the load - not just the chores, but also the decision making and the risks that go with them...you don’t have to carry it all.

2. Do not feel so guilty for the ‘you’ time - it is not unreasonable for a senior professional woman to pay some-one to paint her nails, go on a spa day, go out for lunch.... you work hard for your remuneration so enjoy spending some of it on you! You are the only one making yourself feel guilty!

3. Remember: MOST people want to hear what you have to say on the subject of Women in the Workplace .... keep sending your message out!

See, if I did those three thing, the things that my heart desires would happen...more time, less stress, less guilt and more interaction about the good stuff....I already know that...my fairy godmother (a.k.a. ME) just need(s) to put it into action!!
